Tennessee RiverLine partners from across the region, including representatives of Tennessee RiverTowns communities and organizations from Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky, gathered in The Shoals, AL, September 14-15 for the first-ever Tennessee RiverLine Partnership Paddle.
The Tennessee RiverLine was awarded a 2020 Ripple Effect Award for the initiative’s conservation efforts for the Tennessee River.
The Tennessee Valley Authority joins the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as a principal partner in the Tennessee RiverLine, North America’s next great regional trail system.
Fifteen communities have been accepted to the inaugural cohort of the Tennessee RiverTowns Program as part of the Tennessee RiverLine, North America’s next great regional trail system. This transformative initiative is led by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in collaboration with the Tennessee RiverLine Partnership.
Five communities have been accepted to the 2022 cohort of the Tennessee RiverTowns Program as part of the Tennessee RiverLine, North America’s next great regional trail system.
The five communities include:
● Chattanooga, TN
● Jackson County, AL
● Meigs County, TN
● Perry County, TN
● Spring City, TN
These communities join the 2021 cohort and together are home to more than 1 million people.
