About Tyler Kirkendall
CAC AmeriCorps Member | August 2024 – June 2025
Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Tennessee RiverLine
Tyler Kirkendall served with the Tennessee RiverLine as a CAC AmeriCorps Member from August 2024 to June 2025. During his time as Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Tyler played a pivotal role in documenting the stories of the Tennessee RiverTowns communities, capturing the spirit of the region through his thoughtfully crafted RiverTown Spotlights and blog posts.
A graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in English, Tyler brought editorial expertise and a storyteller’s eye to the Tennessee RiverLine. Prior to his service, he worked as an editor for a magazine group in Columbus, Ohio, covering everything from restaurants and concerts to art galleries and environmental issues. That same curiosity and care translated into his work along the 652-mile Tennessee River corridor, where he highlighted the people, places, and partnerships that shape the Tennessee RiverLine's transformational vision.
Tyler’s work continues to inform and inspire. His articles remain an integral part of our digital storytelling, attributed to him as an ongoing acknowledgment of his contributions. Outside of his work with the RiverLine, Tyler could be found swapping music recommendations (classic rock is his go-to), chatting about movies, or seeking out local trails and restaurants.
Thank you, Tyler, for your meaningful service and lasting impact on the Tennessee RiverLine.
