Come join Tennessee RiverLine’s Bridgeport Local Leadership Team and volunteers for our second open-to-the-public day of kayaking on the Tennessee River! Our fleet of 12 kayaks (8 single and 4 tandem + all safety gear) are available to sign out. Our certified paddle instructor will be on hand to provide instruction to first-timers. Experienced paddlers are encouraged to join and share experiences with others. New paddlers will paddle upriver past the historic walking bridge and Battery Hill, site of Civil War skirmishes, and image the busy shipyard and fleet of paddlewheel steamers loading supplies for the infamous Cracker Line supplying Chattanooga during the war.
