Over thirty years ago, environmentalists founded the Tennessee River Rescue to tackle the trash lining the Tennessee River, starting a grassroots movement in Scenic City. Each year, hundreds of volunteers don gloves and use litter-grabbers to clean the shorelines around the Chattanooga region during the annual Tennessee River Rescue.
This year, we're excited to partner with Tennessee River Rescue to include communities beyond Chattanooga, such as Bridgeport, AL, Chattanooga, TN, Jackson County, AL, South Pittsburg, TN, and Lawrence County, AL.
