Come join Tennessee RiverLine's Bridgeport Local Leadership Team and volunteers for a day of kayaking on the Tennessee River. Our certified paddle instructor will be on-hand to provide instruction to first-timers. Our fleet of 12 kayaks (8 single and 4 tandem + all safety gear) are available to sign out. Bring your own kayak and gear and enjoy the enthusiasm of new paddlers as they paddle upriver past the historic walking bridge and Battery Hill, site of civil war skirmishes, and imagine the busy shipyard and fleet of paddle-wheel steamers loading supplies for the infamous Cracker Line supplying Chattanooga during the war.
