Produce a formal resolution adopted by the council and/or commission of elected officials that demonstrates the city and/or county’s understanding and support of the Tennessee RiverLine.
Share your community’s participation in the Tennessee RiverTowns Program and support for the Tennessee RiverLine.
Promote TNRL events and use communications to build awareness of the Tennessee RiverLine. All promotional elements should adhere to TNRL marketing guidelines.
Actively participate when needed in collaborative funding opportunities.
Benchmark Details:
For a Tennessee RiverTowns Program enrollee that is a:
single city or town, a single resolution adopted by the City or Town Council
single county, a resolution adopted by the county commission AND each resident municipality that is considered a Tennessee River community
coalition of multiple counties and/or municipalities, a resolution adopted by each county commission AND/OR each resident municipality within that coalition that is considered a Tennessee River community
Communicating your community’s support and participation in the program can be done in many ways to show advocacy activity. This can include attending legislative town halls and advocacy days, sharing letters of support to help apply for collaborative funding opportunities, attending local board, club or rotary meetings to share about your community participation in the program. Your support and advocacy is huge for us, be creative in your community with how you advocate!
Branding information and promotional material will be shared by TNRL staff, and we’re here to help you develop material as needed!
Reporting:
Formal Resolution
A copy of your local resolution can be uploaded into your community folder on the google drive.
DUE: The resolution should be adopted by the end of your 2nd calendar year in Stage 1, you’ll need this resolution in order to move on to Stage 2!
Advocacy Activity Summary
A section of the Annual report asks to include information about your community advocacy activity over the year.
